Where We Work: Bromley and the Towns Around It

We handle roof replacement, roof repair, inspections, storm damage repair, gutters and siding in Bromley and the towns close by. Every job gets the same slow, careful work at the edges, valleys and flashing, because that is where roofs give out first.

Bromley, Ludlow and the Towns Next Door

Bromley is home base, so most of our work is close by. We're on roofs in Ludlow, Crescent Springs, Park Hills and Delshire, and up the hill in Fort Mitchell and Erlanger. Short drives mean it's easy for us to swing by and look at a repair after the next hard rain.

We also take jobs in Covington, Newport and Fort Thomas, and across the river in Cincinnati. The work doesn't change with the town. We look at the whole roof, show you photos of what we found, and tell you straight whether a repair will hold or the roof needs to come off. If you aren't sure we come to your street, just ask when you call.

What Roofs Around Here Have in Common

  1. 01

    Older houses, older roofs

A lot of homes in this part of Northern Kentucky have a few decades behind them. We often find two layers of shingles, board decking instead of plywood, and chimney flashing patched with tar more than once. We check the deck and the flashing before we price anything, so your estimate covers what's really up there.

  2. 02

    Freeze and thaw

Our winters don't stay frozen. The temperature crosses 32 degrees over and over, some weeks nearly every night. Water that slips under a loose tab or a cracked seal turns to ice, expands, and opens the gap a bit wider each round. Ice dams can build at the eaves too. That's why we lay ice and water barrier along the edges and up the valleys, and set each nail in the line the shingle maker calls for.

  3. 03

    Spring and summer storms

Thunderstorms bring strong wind and, now and then, hail. Wind lifts shingles that were never sealed or nailed right. After a storm we photograph the damage and explain how the insurance process usually goes. The adjuster makes the call on your claim, but you'll know what to show them.

  4. 04

    Hills, gutters and siding

Plenty of homes here sit on a slope, and a heavy rain sends a lot of water past them. Gutters sized right, pitched toward the downspouts and hung on solid fascia keep that water off your siding and away from your foundation.

  5. 05

    Permits, town by town

Permit rules change from one city to the next, and Cincinnati works under Ohio code. A full reroof or new siding often needs one. Before work starts, we check with your city and pull the permit if it's required.
